Belterra Agroflorestas “seeks partnerships with small and medium-sized farmers for the creation of productive forests in degraded areas, improving the lives of family producers and, primarily, recovering areas and implementing agroforestry systems.” This is the definition offered by an extensive article in UOL following an interview with Valmir Ortega, the founder of Belterra and the Instituto Conexões Sustentáveis ​​- Conexsus. The main objective, explains Ortega, is to expand businesses that help to recover the forest while trying at the same time to fill the gap in technical assistance and access to finance for small and medium-sized farmers in the country.
