The Observatory for Trade and Environment in the Amazon (OCAA) has been launched. It is the result of a partnership between four institutions to offer clear and reliable data about trade in the region and its impacts
As a result of discussions about the need for a space that serves as a reference for different sectors of society, the first Brazilian platform was launched that gathers qualified information about international trade and the environment in the Amazon. The Observatory for Trade and Environment in the Amazon (OCAA) seeks to offer clear and reliable data to anyone interested in the Amazon and on the impacts that accelerated trade has on the region. There are four partner associations participating in the creation: IPAM (Institute for the Environmental Research of the Amazon), Cindes (Center for Integration and Development Studies), Imazon (Institute for the People and Environment of the Amazon) and iCS (Institute for Climate and Society). Watch the broadcast of the discussion that launched the OCAA and the official website.
