The Managing Committee of Energy Efficiency Indicators (CGIEE) was one of the collegiate bodies revalidated by the President’s Chief of Staff. The decree for the formalization of the commission was published on June 28, 2019, thereby guaranteeing the continuity of the policy for the minimum standards of energy efficiency, in accordance with the National Policy for the Conservation and Rational Use of Energy. This decree made a few alterations in relation to the previous decree, one of them being the opening to civil society organizations to participate in the meetings of CGIEE. According to the coordination of this committee at the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the several declarations received from the partner organizations, research institutes, and ex-members of the CGIEE, were important in order to justify the importance of its revalidation to the President’s Chief of Staff.
