On Amazon Day, a large mobilization across the country drew attention to the impacts in the region; research commissioned by the iCS shows that most Brazilians want the Amazon to be conserved

#AmazôniaÉAgora | September 5, Amazon Day. A series of mobilizations were carried out by the Coordination of the Pastoral Land Commission (CPT) of the Amazon, Reocupa, the Sustainable Amazon Foundation (FAS), Mapinguari, Ficha Verde, ClimaInfo, Tucunduba, the National Council of Rubber Tappers (CNS), ParaCiclo and Protect the Amazon (among others) in order to raise awareness and alert society about the causes of impacts in the region, such as agrarian conflicts, illegal deforestation and criminal fires. Actions took place in Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Maranhão, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima and Tocantins. There were also events in São Paulo and Brasília in partnership with the Coordination of the Indigenous Peoples of Brazil (Apib) and the National Coordination of Women Warriors of Ancestry (Anmiga).

Pan-Amazonian countries such as Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia and Peru also carried out actions, as well as some from Europe.
