Action for the prevention of deforestation arrives at the STF

The action for Non-compliance with a Fundamental Precept (ADPF) has arrived at the STF. It is one of the most comprehensive and important socio-environmental actions ever presented at the court to demand the effective resumption of the Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Deforestation in the Amazon (PPCDAM). It was conceived by ten civil society networks and organizations: ISA, Artigo 19, Coordination of the Indigenous Peoples of Brazil (Apib), Conectas Human Rights, National Council of Extractive Populations (CNS), Engajamundo, Greenpeace Brasil, Alana Institute, Climate Observatory and Terrazul.
